In April’s case, an adolescent crush on Ben resulted in a humiliating indiscretion. But that was years ago. She’s grown and moved on.
Her serenity is shattered when a shaken Ben turns up at her lakeside painting retreat on Vancouver Island. She’d thought him married, with a small son and a successful career. But Ben’s world has gone horribly wrong. He’s divorced. His business partner has been murdered and he’s a suspect. He’s been assaulted and his son Cody threatened.
